In this work "Flowerpots " I confront the aftermath of destruction with unflinching honesty. By salvaging the remnants of my home demolition – raw, rough cement bricks, discarded metals, and shattered wall pieces – I juxtapose these fragments to create a stark commentary on the transient nature of existence. The rawness of the cement bricks, typically symbols of strength and permanence, is juxtaposed with the fragility of flowers. These makeshift flower pots are not whimsical adornments; they are stark reminders of the impermanence of human constructs. The metal accents, twisted and rusted, speak of decay and entropy, challenging any notion of beauty. Through this work, I invite viewers to confront uncomfortable truths about destruction, regeneration, and the precariousness of human endeavors. There is no sentimentality here, only a raw exploration of the relentless cycle of creation and decay. "This work is not a celebration of destruction, but a sober reflection on the inevitable passage of time and the resilience of life amidst chaos.
