Simulacra
This work engages with the complex interplay of technology, society, and cultural identity, using the 3D mockup—typically a marketing tool—as a medium to critique entrenched societal narratives. By juxtaposing a t-shirt emblazoned with "Apna time aayega"(our time will come) and the Australopithecus skull, the piece subtly bridges the chasm between our primal origins and contemporary aspirations. This contrast underscores the tension between evolutionary history and modern ambitions, questioning the essence of progress.Adjacent to this, the clean white dupatta serves as a stark counterpoint, confronting the sanitized ideals imposed by society against the raw, often unfiltered realities of personal identity. Through these elements, the work prompts a critical reflection on the unseen forces that shape our understanding of progress and identity in a technology-driven and culturally multifaceted world.
