"Bias"( Collective Consciousness) is a video installation project that delves into the interplay of contemporary perception, opinions, and biases in politically charged times. The project collects unfiltered thoughts from diverse individuals—gleaned through conversations in settings ranging from playgrounds to protests, social media, and personal encounters across India’s rural communities. These genuine expressions of political unrest and personal biases are artistically presented against a backdrop of computer-generated ocean waves, symbolizing the fluid and ever-shifting nature of human thoughts and emotions. Incorporating screenshots of tweets manipulated into fluid imagery, "Bias" critiques the suppression of dissent and highlights the resilience of ordinary people striving for systemic change. The hypnotic movement of the fluid waves, combined with a carefully curated soundtrack, creates a space for contemplation on the complexities of human interaction and societal dynamics. This immersive experience metaphorically portrays the cyclical nature of political upheaval and the enduring spirit of resistance, emphasizing the interconnectedness of individual voices in the broader narrative of societal transformation. Through its exploration of the digital and physical realms, the project encourages viewers to navigate the fluidity of perception and the boundless depths of collective human expression.
