MOM IAM FINE

This video art installation, composed of two channels, aims to immerse viewers in the juxtaposition of innocence and harsh realities. By framing the imagery through a window, the viewer is prompted to observe the world outside, where scenes of bombing unfold. Simultaneously, the artist's poignant poem, "Mom, I'm fine," acts as a central thread, embodying the children's resilience and aspirations.

The choice to use actual words from children affected by war underscores the authenticity of their experiences. As the poem runs through the middle, it becomes a powerful testament to the strength and hope within these young souls, echoing their plea for a chance to shape their own destinies.

The two-channel setup symbolizes the dual nature of their existence — the window serving as a boundary between the sanctuary of their dreams and the harsh reality of conflict. The visual narrative unfolds, revealing the vulnerability of youth confronted by the brutality of war.

The poetic verses serve as a counterpoint, weaving a narrative of courage, determination, and the universal human desire for a better future. The repetition of "Mom, I'm fine, no fear" becomes both a reassurance and a plea for understanding and acknowledgment.
