Stasis in Motion (2024)

Stasis in Motion* explores the endless cycle of conflict through glossy, CGI-rendered horses—red, blue—running face to face in a stark white space. They never collide. Instead, they repeat the same motion, over and over, accompanied by a steady synth track and a voice repeating the word "Collision."There is tension but no impact. The horses, representing opposing forces, are trapped in a loop—forever running, forever unresolved. Sometimes the screen fades to black, breaking the rhythm only to return to the same scene, unchanged. The simple red-and-blue identifier subtly hints at politics, but without making it obvious. It’s about opposition without resolution, movement without progress. This piece is about the constant motion of life—running towards something but never quite reaching it. We feel the tension but are left in stasis, caught in an endless cycle, where the end is always out of reach.
